Mexico City, February 13, 2024

Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes, S.C. has been one of the most innovative leading law firms in the Mexican market for 30 years. We are convinced that our greatest asset is our people and our ability to evolve and adapt to the needs of our times. In this context, with the firm objective of achieving the sustainable development of the firm and strengthening our corporate governance structure for the benefit of our clients, collaborators, and future generations, we are pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2024, the firm's partners have appointed Francisco Fuentes Ostos and Horacio de Uriarte Flores as Managing Partners of the firm. The aforementioned appointments will have a duration of three years, and members may be re-elected for an additional period.

The Managing Partners will be responsible for defining the firm's strategy, overseeing compliance with our values and internal policies, and representing the firm externally and internally.

The Managing Partners will work closely with the Management Committee, which will be responsible for implementing the firm's strategy, coordinating practice areas, overseeing operational, financial, and administrative management of the firm, as well as developing and monitoring the organization's goals and objectives.

Regarding the firm's international efforts, the Managing Partners will rely on the partners who are members of the Executive Committee of Affinitas, our strategic alliance with leading firms in Colombia, Chile, and Peru.

Additionally, as part of corporate governance, the Management Committee will have various Special Committees to address specialized issues, such as the Pro-Bono Committee, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and the Systems Committee, among others.

Regarding these changes, Francisco Fuentes Ostos commented, "These changes in the organizational structure of the firm coincide with the celebration of our 30th anniversary and strengthen its corporate governance, making us a more institutional organization that responds to the needs of our clients and collaborators."

Horacio de Uriarte added, "These changes and appointments allow us to evolve into an organization that addresses and adapts to the needs of new generations. At the same time, this structure will be a key element to continue the sustainable growth of the firm in an increasingly dynamic and changing Mexico."
