As a consequence of the measures ordered by Mexico’s General Health Council and Ministry of Health to prevent and combat the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19, on April 17, 2020.

the Ministry of Energy (“SENER”) published in the Federal Official Gazette a resolution (“Resolution”) amending and adding the “Resolution” that establishes the suspension of legal terms and deadlines in the Ministry of Energy, as a measure to prevent and combat the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19, published in the Federal Official Gazette on March 25, 2020 (the "Original Resolution"). The Resolution extends the suspension period for requests and applications filed before SENER, until April 30, 2020. The above implies that: (i) the terms and conditions of the proceedings before SENER shall be suspended until April 30, 2020, and shall resume on May 4, 2020; (ii) the terms for SENER or applicants, which expire during the suspension period shall be extended and shall resume on May 4, 2020 and (iii) the applications submitted to SENER during this suspension period shall be deemed as submitted on May 4, 2020 (and, consequently, the term for their resolution shall start to run as from such date), except for submissions that, in SENER’s opinion, require immediate attention.
