Claudia carries out the criminal defense of natural and legal persons in federal and state litigation throughout the country, mainly in matters related to environmental crimes, corruption, money laundering, hydrocarbons and financial crimes. She also provides compliance services for different national and foreign companies operating in Mexico, related to assessing the criminal risks to which they are exposed, as well as designing and implementing "compliance programs" in organizations to prevent and mitigate the risk of commission of corporate crimes and the attribution of said responsibility to companies and their managers, separating them from criminal acts that could be committed by their employees or third parties.

On July 22, 2020, the Decree 257/2020 was published introducing reforms to the Criminal Code of the State of Yucatan that explain in detail the content of corporate criminal compliance programs in Mexico.

Inter Inter-American Commission on Human Rights ("IACHR") Resolution 01/2020 states that companies have a key role to play in the health crisis and warns of the risks of restricting their rights. At the same time, it requires companies to be monitored by governments and held accountable for their abuses, recommending that they adopt human rights due diligence processes.
