Aisha joined our Firm in 2010 starting as a law student, and has been an associate since 2014. She works in the Energy practice area, with a focus on renewable energies and environmental matters.
She has participated in multiple energy projects, from their development and construction to their financing and operation, and has extensive experience in matters related to governmental authorizations, construction, supply and operation contracts, and power purchase agreements.
She has in-depth experience in all aspects of renewable energy projects, advising firms in their day-to-day operations and in their participation in the Electricity Market, as well as in the framework of M&A, securities and financing transactions.
Aisha has a Law Degree from the Universidad Panamericana, with a specialization in Administrative Law from the same University. She holds an MSc in Environmental Protection and Management from the University of Edinburgh, where she graduated with merit. Her master’s thesis, an analysis of environmental and agricultural public policy in Mexico, obtained the “Henry Gilbert Miller prize for best agricultural dissertation” from the Scotland Rural College of at the University of Edinburgh and the “MSc in Environmental Protection and Management Best Dissertation prize” from the School of Geosciences.
Additionally, Aisha is the current Coordinator of the Pro Bono Practice of the Firm and is part of the D&I committee, where various activities have been carried out around these two trending topics in the legal market.
