Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes, S.C. was founded in Mexico City in 1994, integrated by a team of the highest qualified lawyers, focused in providing professional legal services with the highest quality to meet its clients’ business needs. Today, Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes is a leading firm in the Mexican market, deeply committed to quality and responsiveness; it has established itself as one of the most prominent Mexican law firms and is recognised as one of the best firms in the country.
The firm started out as a financial, securities and M&A legal boutique. Presently, it has 22 practice areas which allows the firm to offer a full-range of legal services to clients.
Our team
Based in Mexico City, our Firm consists of a fully integrated and fast-growing team of business lawyers, accountants and professionals offering a wide range of legal services. Our Team is comprised of of 22 partners, 4 of counsel and over 120 qualified professionals.
Most of the firm's lawyers and other professionals have completed graduate studies at foreign universities and have worked at US or UK law firms, which has allowed the firm to have a broader perspective on international legal systems and clients’ needs.
Sustentability
Aware of the growing interest of companies to adopt standards and promote Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) projects in Mexico and worldwide, and convinced that the legal services sector plays a key role in sustainability, we reinforce our commitment by joining the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative to align our operations with the universally accepted "Ten Principles" in the areas of Human Rights, Labor Standards, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
In addition, our ESG capabilities and our Firm's Corporate Sustainability efforts have already been recognized by Legal 500 in its Green Guide publication, where only two Mexican firms were recognized.

Our commitment to Pro Bono work is an institutional effort expressed on a daily basis by offering free of charge legal services for the benefit of people and communities with low income or with barriers to access to justice, as well as organizations promoting social causes or representing public interest matters.
We are signatories of the Pro Bono Declaration for the Americas of the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice and the Estándares Probono México. Furthermore, we have established alliances with the clearinghouses of the Red Pro Bono México.
We have created a Pro Bono Committee and appointed a Pro Boo Coordinator in order to institutionalize Pro Bono work in our firm.
